Financial Structure of The Salvador Foundation The Salvador Foundation was founded in 2004 as a private 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. As an independent private Christian organization, The Salvador Foundation maintains no legal affiliation to any government, denomination or other foundation, though we do keep positive working relations with all these. Our primary focus is in serving people in the United States and Latin America with special emphasis in helping the truly needy of our world. The Salvador Foundation seeks to efficiently utilize all financial resources to serve God. As such, while we have an extremely gifted staff and Board of Directors, the Salvador Foundation pays them no compensation. Furthermore, all travel related expenses are borne personally by Board members. As a result, essentially 100% of the funds in the Salvador Foundation go directly to ministry activity. To maintain this high level of efficiency, we seek to work with other organizations with a similar philosophy.
